Heroes and movies and sandwiches, oh my!
2018 is shaping up to be the year of the super hero, well, at least in the movie world. It's no secret that here at Hero or Villain, we live for these movies. Let's take a look at what is coming soon, as well as what kind of specials we can crank out in honor of these amazing heroes.
Right out of the gate for 2018, and perhaps the most exciting of them all, is the release of Black Panther. We were able to get a glimpse of T'Challa himself in Captain America: Civil War, but I think it is safe to say we are all beyond excited to see his amazing and revolutionary character in a full length movie. To celebrate, we are thinking of creating a Black Panther special. Something along the lines of steak, sharp cheeses, and rosemary aioli. We're also thinking this is the perfect opportunity to utilize Knickerbocker Bakery's challah bread. (If you haven't tried challah bread, go buy some right now and make some French toast with it. You'll thank me later.) Nothing is quite official with our Black Panther special - we want to make sure it's worthy of this amazing character. Another movie that is sure to be a big hit is Avengers: Infinity War. Why will this be a big hit, you ask? Almost ALL of our Marvel favorites will be featured in this movie. From Thor to Iron Man to Gamora to Groot. Regardless of the plot, it will be awesome just to see these awesome characters interact with one another.
Perhaps everyone's favorite, we do get to see another Deadpool movie this year with Deadpool 2 in the works. Ryan Reynolds proved to everyone that he is, indeed, the real life Deadpool. This movie is scheduled to come out in June of this year, right in the busy season! Stay tuned for what will definitely become another special menu item.
Also to look forward to this year? Ant-Man and the Wasp. Venom. X-Men: Dark Phoenix. An animated Spider-Man movie. Aquaman. (Jason Momoa, anyone?) We meant it when we said it was the year of the superhero.
...LAST...but certainly not least. THE INCREDIBLES 2 IS FINALLY HAPPENING. The youngest on our truck is 26, but you best believe we will be there to see it.
